It’s been just over 2 months since I took up a new hobby of fishkeeping. It started from going to a pet shop trying to buy rabbits as house pets. We really wanted a dog but the responsibility was too big to begin with knowing my children still too small to be responsible of. To make the long story short, I realised that rabbits were also not right for us at this moment as they are almost like dog but more vulnerable. So, having a long and friendly chat with a young man at the pet shop, almost falling into getting snakes, I decided to go for freshwater fish to begin with. That was in November 2016 and the research has begin for this interesting new hobby of ours.
It isn’t as easy and glamorous as it looks. There are tons of issues already that I faced in the last couple of month but finally we have a fully functioning aquarium at home. Kids love it and they are leaning to look after something else rather than just themselves. I must say it’s been the best thing I’ve done for a long time for me and for my family because it brings a joy and a focal point for something we can all enjoy together.
I will post some pictures and details of our Aquarium again but here is the beginning of our relationship with fish… and maybe some other creatures in the tank.
